Cookies currently used

Safe to Eat? currently does not intentionally set advertising or personalised-tracking cookies. The application code does not use browser local storage or session storage for the checker. The Google AdSense site-connection script is present for site review, but advertising is not currently active and no ad slots are displayed. We do not state that no cookies can ever be involved in delivering the site, because technical services may use browser features where needed to operate or secure it.

Essential technologies

Technical storage or browser features may be used where necessary for site operation, security or preferences. We do not list specific cookies because the current application does not define any.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand page usage, improve the site and see which guidance pages are useful. The current Vercel Web Analytics documentation says it works without third-party cookies; it uses aggregated measurement rather than personalised advertising tracking. Advertising cookies

Safe to Eat? does not currently serve third-party advertising. Before advertising cookies or personalised advertising are enabled for UK or EEA users, an appropriate Google-certified consent mechanism integrated with the IAB TCF will be implemented. This Cookie Policy will be updated before relevant advertising or tracking technology is enabled.

Managing cookies

You can manage browser cookies and storage through your browser settings. These settings control information stored in your browser; they do not necessarily control technical information processed by hosting or analytics services.
